The whole team here at Brewery Tea Room is bubbling over with excitement. This week we received the fantastic news that we have been shortlisted for the prestigious “My Country Business” awards 2014, presented by Country Homes & Interiors magazine. We are honoured and humbled to have been selected from more than a hundred high quality entries. The final stage of judging will take place on Tuesday 3rd June and with just four other businesses in the running, we are in with a real chance of winning the award. Whatever the result we are so happy to have got this far and hope you will follow our progress in these final stages. We would like to thank all of you, who support and make the Tea Room the fantastic success that it is today.

A Little Bit of History…
-
In 1848, Samuel Wright pledged £3000 for a ‘malting bond’ enabling him to brew soft drinks, minerals and ciders. Thus Wrights Brewery was formed, becoming an important family business and prominent employer in the area. You can see
a copy of this bond in the Tearooms along with photographs of the factory workers from the 1940’s and the fleet of company vehicles parked outside Brewery House.Brewery House has been privately owned for the last 17 years and the current owners, Sarah and Nigel wished to preserve the heritage of the old Brewery and have achieved this by opening up part of the house as The Brewery Tearooms, enabling others to share in its charm.
We're waiting to welcome you to The Brewery Tea Rooms.
well done Sarah and team and happy birthday
Thank you for all your wonderful messages of support and encouragement in the recent Country Business Awards shortlisting. Unfortunately we did not win first place in our category but are thrilled to have made it through to the shortlist in a national competition, ranked alongside some other fantastic country businesses. The shortlisting nomination is invaluable to us in terms of our recognition as a succesful, small, rural business. Good luck to the winners, and wishing them continued success. Many thanks, your good wishes were very much appreciated and meant a lot. From Sarah and all the team.
