We love to feel good about what we do, and at Brewery Tearooms we feel very privileged to be in a position to support local charities and causes. Since we opened in 2009, you have helped us raise in excess of £50,000 through gratuities and events. We’re supporting local and national charities and we hope you’re as proud as we are that together, we’re all helping to make a difference.

There are many ways we like to raise money, from charity sporting events such as triathlons and cycle rides, to fundraising events held here, at the Tearooms. We raised over £10,000 for the new Macmillan Cancer Unit at Lister Hospital, Stevenage.

We annually hold a Macmillan Coffee Morning and sponsor a charity bike ride in September, serving teas, coffees and cakes and a raffle prize draw with  prizes donated by local businesses and lovely customers, from hampers of delicious goodies to days out and restaurant vouchers. Weather permitting, we open up the garden and transform it into a haven of pre-loved goodies such as great quality clothing, bric-a-brac and books.

 

We have also been lucky enough to have had talented beauty therapists offering their services in aid of Macmillan so you can come along on the day and treat yourself to a makeover or hairstyle in aid of this fantastic charity. If you are interested in getting involved in this we are always looking for volunteers – whether you can offer us a prize, a donation or some of your time on the day we would love to hear from you!

As well as events, we continually like to help by donating all gratuities to local charities. We’re so grateful for your support of the Tearooms and thank you for spending time with us, service is covered by our prices so anything donated by you can be given directly to charity. This way, you can help us to support these very worthwhile causes and we can all feel good about what we’re doing. Thank you to all of our lovely customers for their amazing generosity and support.
