As you know we took part in a charity cycle ride on Sunday to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Centre at Lister hospital. The sun was shining all day and Team Brewery were in high spirits. The ride took us from Knebworth house through Watton-at-stone then looped up through Ardely bringing us back past the Tea Room (if only we’d been able to stop for tea!). Thanks to your support and very generous donations, we’re really pleased to announce that the event helped us raise a further £790 towards our £10,000 target and we hope that very soon we will have a very exciting announcement. Thank you very much to all our lovely customers and friends for supporting us in our charity commitments.

A Little Bit of History…
-
In 1848, Samuel Wright pledged £3000 for a ‘malting bond’ enabling him to brew soft drinks, minerals and ciders. Thus Wrights Brewery was formed, becoming an important family business and prominent employer in the area. You can see
a copy of this bond in the Tearooms along with photographs of the factory workers from the 1940’s and the fleet of company vehicles parked outside Brewery House.Brewery House has been privately owned for the last 17 years and the current owners, Sarah and Nigel wished to preserve the heritage of the old Brewery and have achieved this by opening up part of the house as The Brewery Tearooms, enabling others to share in its charm.
We're waiting to welcome you to The Brewery Tea Rooms.
