Call us on 01438 861930 to reserve your Jubilee Treat Box or to book your table. We are open on the Thursday Bank Holiday (2nd June) and closed on the Friday (3rd June); open as normal on Saturday, 4th June. X
All our gratuities are donated to Charity: normally to Cancer Hair Care or a cancer related cause. However, due to the crisis in the Ukraine we will donate all gratuities from now until Saturday, 19 March to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) charity. The Tearooms will match, pound for pound, all monies raised. Further, the Government have pledged to match up to £20million.
Although we feel relatively helpless during these troubled times, we feel every little helps, so a big thanks for your support.
2021 in the Tearooms has been a year of real contrasts, constraints and challenges.
Like many small businesses, in order to survive and retain our team, we’ve had to adapt and diversify our services. These included introducing a delivery and collection service, our outdoor marquee and our popular online live video shopping events.
So it’s a BIG THANKS to every single one of you who has supported our small family business by grabbing a coffee, enjoying a lunch, sharing an Afternoon High Tea, purchasing a gift voucher, visiting our boutique shop, ordering celebration cakes or just generally supporting us by understanding our cautious approach to everyone’s safety.
You have helped us get through another year with renewed hope of a more ‘normal’ time ahead.
We are also super proud to have been able to support the NHS, local charities, food banks and local people (through our Christmas Tree Aid project) in need, during the pandemic.
Finally a big thanks to our wonderful team without whom we wouldn’t have got this far.
Please stay safe and have a magical Christmas and New Year. We will be reopening on Tuesday, 18 January 2022 so hope to see you then.
In 1848, Samuel Wright pledged £3000 for a ‘malting bond’ enabling him to brew soft drinks, minerals and ciders. Thus Wrights Brewery was formed, becoming an important family business and prominent employer in the area. You can see
a copy of this bond in the Tearooms along with photographs of the factory workers from the 1940’s and the fleet of company vehicles parked outside Brewery House.
Brewery House has been privately owned for the last 17 years and the current owners, Sarah and Nigel wished to preserve the heritage of the old Brewery and have achieved this by opening up part of the house as The Brewery Tearooms, enabling others to share in its charm.
We're waiting to welcome you to The Brewery Tea Rooms.
