It is with immense sadness that I announce the passing of my beautiful Mum, Mary Smith.
As a lot of you will know, she was an inspiration for the Tearooms and has been the ‘leading light’ over the last 16 years.
She loved nothing more than baking every day for the Tearooms and did so up until a couple of years ago, at the age of 91 years.
Without my Mum, the Tearooms would not have been created.
We are overwhelmed by the kind support, words, cards and flowers.
As a mark of respect and to facilitate a celebration of Mum’s life (service at St Mary’s Church, Walkern) we will be closed on Tuesday, 16 December.
We would respectfully ask that no more flowers are sent at this time, as we would like her to be surrounded by flowers on the day.
She will be forever the inspiration for myself, Nigel and our Tearoom family.💔x

We have partnered with KidsOut, a ‘not for profit’ charity helping children fleeing domestic abuse to seek sanctuary in refuge. Typically leaving home with only the clothes on their back, these traumatised children have experienced violent, emotional, and even sexual abuse and arrive at refuge with nothing.
Just imagine you are a child who has…
NEVER received a gift
NEVER had a brand new toy
NEVER walked on a beach
NEVER been to a theme park
But you have…
LIVED every day in fear of abuse… and cried yourself to sleep each night
To help simply pick a tag from our Christmas Tree in the Tearooms.
Each tag has a child’s name, age, and the toy they would like from Father Christmas. You can then purchase a physical toy or buy one from the Fun & Happiness shop on the Charity’s website – we will supply the detail.
If you wish to purchase a physical toy, drop it off at the Tearooms and we will deliver it to a KidsOut drop off location.
Toys will then be packaged into a Toy Box and sent to the child in refuge ready to open at Christmas.
Please help us support this amazing charity and bring some festive cheer to a child.
Thank you.
Sarah x

*Charity begins at home*
Thank you to everyone who supported our charity days and helped raise over £2,000.00 for Cancer Hair Care & ‘Let’s get Katie Home’.
We are extremely humbled by the support (pictures to follow).
Note, we are open throughout August and look forward to seeing you for some homemade treats, light lunches, Afternoon High Teas or a lovely refreshing drink.❤️🎗️☀️x
