Our Big Charity Announcement!

As you know, the Tea Rooms were officially three years old on 1st July and it’s been an incredible success story so far. We’re very passionate about what we do and we’ve worked very hard trying to make the Tea Rooms a really special place for you all to enjoy.

We’re fortunate enough to be able to donate ALL your gratuities to local charities and causes. These gratuities, combined with our various events, amount to an amazing total of £12,671.42 to date.

We’re supporting local and national charities and hope you feel as proud as we do that together, we’re all helping to make a difference.

We’re thanking all our wonderful friends and customers, old and new; we couldn’t have done any of this without you.

As part of our anniversary, if you are in the Tea Room this week, please enter our free prize draw to win a complimentary lunch or afternoon tea for two.

Thanks again to all of you who have given us support and thanks for your generosity in raising this phenomenal amount. Here’s to the continued success of Brewery Tea Rooms’ fundraising efforts. We will be participating in our fourth Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 28th Sept, nearer the time we will be asking you for any unwanted gifts, unused/nearly-new clothes and paperbacks to help us try to beat last years amazing total! So save the date for another wonderful day filled with coffee, cake and charity!

Join us to celebrate three wonderful years!

Brewery Tea Rooms is officially three years old on 1st July – come and help us celebrate throughout the week. We can hardly believe the first three years have flown by so quickly and we want to thank all of our valued and loyal customers, old and new, for their continued support.

Exciting news will be coming later in the week regarding the Brewery Tea Rooms fundraising and charity work…so watch this space!

Tea Rooms Jubilee Opening Hours

We’re going to be closed for the Queens Diamond Jubilee on Tuesday 5th June, but will be opening as usual on Wednesday 6th and serving up freshly baked treats. We hope you all enjoy the long weekend and come and visit us for tea soon!

Sport Relief and Easter Opening Hours

This year, for Sport Relief, we made a total of £446.85, which were contributions from runners and walkers who took part in our 1k and 5k on Friday and Saturday, tearoom tips and second-hand book sale and cake sale. We had participants of all ages who all enjoyed refreshments afterwards and Sport Relief cupcakes. The sun shone and everyone had a good time, helping raise money for this great cause. Many Thanks to all who took part, donated something, and our excellent cycle marshals Paul and Graham who provided encouragement to the runners.

As it is Easter this weekend, we will be closed from Friday to Monday, re-opening as usual on Tuesday Morning. We’d like to wish you all a very happy Easter and hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Best wishes from Sarah and all at Brewery Tea Rooms

Re-Opening Tuesday 28th February

We can’t wait to welcome you again!

As you know, we’re closed at the minute, but will be re-opening on Tuesday 28th February. During the winter break have been doing lots of cleaning and making the Tea Room beautiful; polishing and dusting the chandeliers and making sure the Tea Room is sparkling and ready for our new season.

Sarah is out buying; hunting for beautiful peices of furniture and lovely new items for the Gift Shop, so we can open with a freshly stocked springtime shop, full of wonderful new and vintage delights.

New cakes are being devised and practiced in the Brewery Tea Room kitchen, with some wonderful smells escaping and plenty of delicious treats to be tested – the new season is going to be a very tasty one!

The new season will bring with it new opportunities to help local charities through events and fundraising, as you know all of our gratuities – donated by you – are donated to some very worthwhile local causes close to our hearts.

We’re enjoying having some time to spend preparing recipes, re-stocking, and having some time to relax, but already we’re looking forward to the new springtime season and can’t wait to see our customers again. We’re hoping to welcome new customers as well as old to share in the charm of Brewery Tea Room. We’re so much looking forward to welcoming you in February.

Kindest wishes from Sarah and all at Brewery Tea Rooms – see you soon!

On Friday we proved that Together We CAN Do Amazing Things!

We held our Macmillan Coffee Morning last Friday, in the sunshine. The gardens were opened and filled with a selection of stalls of bric-a-brac, clothing and books along with plenty of space to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a nice piece of cake! We held a raffle and a charity auction with all sorts of wonderful prizes, so generously donated by local buisnesses and lovely customers. And, of course, we served up our freshly ground coffees, loose leaf teas and delicious cakes. You were all so generous on the day and helped us to raise more than double last years total – we’re still counting though, so watch this space for the final figures! We would just like to thank you all so much for coming along and supporting this really worthwhile cause with us, and proving that together, we really can do AMAZING things.

The very best of wishes from Sarah and all of the team.
