15 years and still going strong!

On 1 July, 15 years ago, we opened the newly painted doors of Brewery Tearooms & Gift Shop with absolutely no expectations of what was to come.

From humble beginnings, you’ve helped us to create a successful and thriving village business. One which has been nationally and locally recognised, with our walls decorated with numerous awards and accolades.

Most importantly the Tearooms & Gift Shop have become an integral part of the village and local community, providing a platform to raise thousands of pounds for local charities and good causes close to our heart.

Over the years, we have hosted a variety of events, including pop-up supper clubs, fashion shows, charity fundraisers, weekly French language classes, a knit and chat group and book launches.

Although the pandemic was a difficult time for all, we were still able to serve the local community and support the NHS through fundraisers and charity initiatives.

We’ve had our share of celebratory visitors and have twice been featured on television, selected for our charming ambiance. The Tearooms have even been used for film sets, with the proceeds donated to charity.

We’ve strived to make the Tearooms a welcoming and friendly place for all to enjoy, and we’ve had a wonderful time getting to know you and making new friends.

As well as thanking everyone who has visited and supported us over the last fifteen years, I would like to pay tribute to my loyal and long serving team who continue to make the business the success it is; thank you for becoming our ‘work family’.

Finally, I would like to pay a special tribute to my Mum, Mary, who is my inspiration and cooking tutor! At 93 years old, she’s unable to spend as much time baking for the Tearooms as she was up until a year or so ago. She is, however, still my inspiration and baking guru!

We look forward to seeing you all for many years to come.

Christmas Tree Charity scheme 2023

We’ve launched our Charity Christmas Tree for 2023.

Our Tree Aid was inspired by our team not wanting to give each other gifts, but gifting something to those less fortunate than themselves. Hence this year’s theme being ‘Tree Aid’.

We have set out to help local people; so with the assistance of our village representative (Michelle) we have drawn up a list of gift ideas needed this Christmas. The recipients are not known to us, but each gift is represented by a tag on our tree. These will be replenished as we go.

How does it work?

Simply choose your gift tag from the tree and we’ll give a guide on the gift required. You then purchase it (at a cost of only £5 or more if you wish), wrap it, write out your tag, pop it back (by 20th December) and we will ensure the appropriate representative delivers it to the recipient prior to Christmas.

Our team will be choosing their tags and the Tearooms will also be using charity funds to assist more widely.

It would be amazing to help as many people as possible this Christmas, so if you want to take part just come and choose your label and help deliver a little more joy this Christmas.

Sarah & the team 🎄❤️x
