Do you love Rupert Grint?

We’re really lucky to have recieved a donation of a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows signed by Rupert Grint, or as we all know him better – Ron Weasley!

We will be accepting sealed bids for the book – estimated to be worth around £80 – to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The book would make a great Christmas gift for a Harry Potter fan, or a collectable item for yourself!

We’re looking forward to seeing you at the coffee morning!

Re-Opening Our Doors on Wednesday 31st August

We can’t wait to hear all about your summer holidays!

The Tea Room is sparkley clean, the Gift Shop has been re-stocked with brand-new and vintage treasure and we have been trying out tasty new treats for our Autumn menu. We are so pleased to re-open our doors to you all on Wednesday and hope to see you soon!

As you know, we like to give you all a rest from us, and as such we will be closing for an annual holiday from Tuesday 2nd to Tuesday 30th August. We look forward to welcoming you again when we re-open on Wednesday 31st August.

During this time, Sarah will be busy re-merchandising and re-stocking the shop ready for the forthcoming season, Mary and Catherine will be creating some delectable new treats for the Autumn menu. Nigel will be continuing his training and participating in his Olympic Triathlon for charity on Saturday 6th August.

After celebrating the tea rooms 2nd birthday on 1st July, we want you to know that we greatly appreciate your custom and value your support. It’s been a succesful second year and we’ve managed to raise lots of money for charity.

Have a great summer and see you very soon,

Sarah, Nigel and all the team at Brewery Tea Rooms xx

On May 19th we invited you all to an event to help support Cancer Hair Care, a local charity which helps people with cancer and hair loss. We had a really successful day, with pre-loved children’s clothing, beauty treatments, organic skin care, handmade silver jewellery and home-made textiles. It was a busy day, with lots of tea and delicious cakes. We held a raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses and customers. We raised an amazing £812.35 in total for a really worthwhile charity. Thank you all very much for supporting Brewery Tea Rooms and Cancer Hair Care.

In the tea room we have had a selection of tasty new cakes – today a towering Pina Colada cake with coconut sponge, pineapple mascarpone filling and toasted coconut on top, some fresh apple and walnut scones (very nice served warm with cream cheese) and a sumptuous banana and passion fruit cake with glossy honey icing. Tomorrow’s cakes are baking in the oven just now…

The gift shop has had a make-over with lots of lovely new stock and some old favourites, a selection of gifts for teachers will appear very soon and we have some beautiful new hand-made organic soaps.

We will soon be asking for your support with another charity endeavour as Nigel is currently undergoing a rigorous training regime for the Hyde Park triathlon in August. We will also be participating in Macmillan’s annual coffee morning on Friday 30th September and you’re all invited.

If you haven’t yet visited Brewery Tea Rooms do come and visit soon and make yourself at home in our home…
