‘Charity Begins at Home’

There’s never been a truer word for this fundraiser. See attached link for their journey.

This lovely family, who live in our village, and friends of the Tearooms, are raising funds to get Katie home after 3 years of treatment and care for traumatic brain injury.

Our first fundraiser for them will be a run/walk @ 9.45 on Saturday, 19 July 2025 from outside the Tearooms. The course will be the ‘loop’ up to Bassus Green/Clay End & return.

We’ll  be judging over the four days, Thursday, 8th through to Sunday, 11th May  (special opening 11-3pm, cream teas & bric-a-brac). The winner will be announced after we close on the Sunday. ❤️x

Today we remember VE Day – Victory in Europe.

On this day in 1945, the war in Europe came to an end and millions across Britain took to the streets in celebration.

We honour the bravery, sacrifice and resilience of all those who served at home and abroad.

Let’s never forget the generation who gave us our freedom.

We will remember them.
