2021 in the Tearooms has been a year of real contrasts, constraints and challenges.

Like many small businesses, in order to survive and retain our team, we’ve had to adapt and diversify our services. These included introducing a delivery and collection service, our outdoor marquee and our popular online live video shopping events.

So it’s a BIG THANKS to every single one of you who has supported our small family business by grabbing a coffee, enjoying a lunch, sharing an Afternoon High Tea, purchasing a gift voucher, visiting our boutique shop, ordering celebration cakes or just generally supporting us by understanding our cautious approach to everyone’s safety.

You have helped us get through another year with renewed hope of a more ‘normal’ time ahead.

We are also super proud to have been able to support the NHS, local charities, food banks and local people (through our Christmas Tree Aid project) in need, during the pandemic.

Finally a big thanks to our wonderful team without whom we wouldn’t have got this far.

Please stay safe and have a magical Christmas and New Year. We will be reopening on Tuesday, 18 January 2022 so hope to see you then.

The Tearooms like to spread a little festive cheer, so this Christmas our tree theme was ‘ Tree Aid’ .

The Tearooms & our amazing team decided against gifting each other, but to gift others less fortunate than ourselves.

The tree was decorated with labels, which relate to anonymous lists of people in need. These were provided by St Mary’s Church, Walkern and our Walkern Community representative.

The idea has also been generously supported by a number of customers.

So between us, we are delighted to have collected over 40 gifts for children, men & women- young and old in Walkern.

We are so pleased ,these will be distributed by the St Mary’s Church & our Community representative before Christmas.

We hope these bring a little Christmas cheer to those who need it most and a big THANK YOU to everyone for your generous parcels X

We are open Saturday, 18, Monday, 20, Tuesday, 21 & Wednesday, 22 December, but will be closed from Thursday, 23 December and re-open on Tuesday, 18 January 2022. X
