Our coffee has never tasted better…. We’re very passionate about the coffee that we serve you. That’s why we’ve gone out of our way to find beans of the highest quality, with a very careful eye on their provenance. It’s also very important to us that our coffee variety is traceable back to its source to ensure ethical and fair trading. Every single coffee we prepare at Brewery Tearooms is freshly ground to order, that’s why it will never taste bitter. Now onto our fantastic Baristas …Sally Ann and Judy, who both know their beans inside out. Sally Ann has recently passed her Barista Level 2 coffee exams and Judy her Barista Level 1. Our newest recruit, lovely Jan is also well on her way to perfecting the art of milk texturing and will soon undertake her first set of exams. Pouring the perfect cappuccino is no mean feat and takes many hours of practice to perfect. We’re very proud to serve you exceptional coffee, and think its some of the best you’ll taste in the whole of Hertfordshire. We also serve a wide range of loose leaf tea ranging from the more well known teas like Breakfast Blend, Assam, Earl Grey, Darjeeling to the more exotic tastes such as Liquorice, Lemon and Ginger, Gunpowder, Orange and Passionfruit to name but a few. Our loose tea is brewed in lovely little china teapots (that don’t drip!) and served to you with a beautiful china tea cup to drink from. If tea or coffee is not your thing, our hot chocolate is pretty yummy as well, a choice of milk or dark Belgian.

A Little Bit of History…
-
In 1848, Samuel Wright pledged £3000 for a ‘malting bond’ enabling him to brew soft drinks, minerals and ciders. Thus Wrights Brewery was formed, becoming an important family business and prominent employer in the area. You can see
a copy of this bond in the Tearooms along with photographs of the factory workers from the 1940’s and the fleet of company vehicles parked outside Brewery House.Brewery House has been privately owned for the last 17 years and the current owners, Sarah and Nigel wished to preserve the heritage of the old Brewery and have achieved this by opening up part of the house as The Brewery Tearooms, enabling others to share in its charm.
We're waiting to welcome you to The Brewery Tea Rooms.
